Francesca Loreto, CPA, CA

Watching her father build an accounting firm from their family home sparked Francesca Loreto's interest in becoming a CPA.

Now, as a Tax Partner at Baker Tilly Canada, she supports her clients with all aspects of Canadian income tax, specializing in trust and estate planning, corporate reorganizations and succession planning. Francesca received the Award for Academic Excellence in Trust & Estate Planning through the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners Canada and has joined the Toronto branch's executive team as a Student Liaison Officer. She also co-hosts the podcast From the Source with Frankie & Sarah, focusing on making complex tax knowledge more accessible.

Francesca is the past Vice Chair and current Treasurer of the Bowmanville Hospital Foundation, playing a pivotal role in the We Care, We Can campaign, aimed at expanding the hospital. She helped design her firm’s CFE training program and is a mentor in the University of Waterloo’s Young Tax Professionals group.

Francesca believes a CPA’s superpower is their ability to solve problems and communicate solutions effectively.
