Joanna But, CPA, CA

Joanna But, CPA, CA

The CPA designation has empowered Joanna But to make decisions that change lives, whether that’s helping individuals achieve stability, empowering businesses to thrive or strengthening communities. A partner in MNP’s Tax Services practice in Markham, Joanna supports companies, business owners and families across a wide range of industries, including real estate and construction, property management and private equity.

As a young partner, Joanna sees leadership as the quiet work of removing friction: building scalable processes, setting a calm tone and creating transparent and inclusive spaces for her team to grow with confidence. Joanna saw all the possibilities the profession could unlock by watching her self-taught accountant aunt. Family members, colleagues and mentors have been key to her success and she continues that chain of support for others.

Joanna is excited about the way artificial intelligence is creating opportunities for CPAs to work smarter. She is looking forward to shaping this transformation and using technology to enhance decision-making, strengthen client relationships and create meaningful value for businesses and communities.
