Laura Zhang, CPA

Passionate about making financial concepts accessible, Laura Zhang was drawn to the CPA designation because it sits at the intersection of numbers, ethics and decision-making.

She began her career at PwC, where she developed a strong foundation in financial management across diverse industries. Today, she is Director of Strategy & Finance at Mydoh, a fintech venture powered by RBC dedicated to helping Canadian youth build essential money skills. Deeply committed to financial literacy, Laura believes that access to money knowledge should be universal, and that financial confidence creates stronger families and communities.

As Treasurer of the Chess Institute of Canada, Laura combines her passion for chess with her professional experience to teach life skills such as critical thinking, resilience and confidence to youth. Laura also published a case study in partnership with Ivey Business School, inviting Canadian business students to engage with real-world fintech challenges.
