Matthew Sanita, CPA, CA

Matthew Sanita discovered his passion for accounting in Grade 11, a spark that has fueled his success. As a Senior Manager at Zeifmans LLP, he leads a team of 18 and has creatively leveraged tools to transform the way his department operates, leading to faster turnaround times and greater employee engagement.

Matthew is known as a mentor, a teacher and a builder of confidence. Two of his staff successfully completed the CFE exam this past year, with Matthew ensuring they had the hours, mentorship and study time they needed. Matthew also serves as an ambassador for Zeifmans in the Schulich Startups program, where he advises entrepreneurs and early-stage businesses. He is also Treasurer of a men's baseball league, a role that blends leadership with community-building as he ensures the league remains financially sound.

Matthew is looking forward to using his recognition as an Emerging Leader to create new opportunities for promoting excellence within his firm and the broader profession.
