Rachel Cairns, CPA

From the moment her ledger balanced on her final accounting exam in high school, Rachel Cairns knew this was the path for her. She began her career at Crowe Soberman LLP in 2019, rising through the ranks to manager in the Audit and Advisory group, leading engagements across multiple industries and taking on some of the firm's largest audits.

Rachel is passionate about building others up. She has developed training courses for staff, mentored CFE candidates through exam preparation and guided younger professionals. She also shapes firm culture as co‑chair of the Culture and Engagement Collective and received the firm’s Superstar Award in 2023. This peer-nominated honour reflects her ability to foster connection, organize events and build cohesion as the firm returned to the office after the pandemic.

Rachel is proud to be part of a meaningful shift towards prioritizing people and purpose in the profession. She believes the profession is stronger and more adaptable when each CPA can bring their own strengths, passions and perspectives.
