Shadib Bin Newaz, CPA, CA

Inspired by the way CPAs can lead in a variety of high‑impact roles, Shadib Bin Newaz embraced the designation for its powerful mix of rigour and responsibility. He began his career at Deloitte, but in 2018 made the shift into innovative tech startups, seizing an opportunity to shape the role of finance in the space. The designation allowed him to move across industries and build credibility quickly.

Shadib is now the Associate Vice President of Financial Planning & Analysis at League, a leading health‑tech company. He has advanced AI-enabled finance practices and guided the company through scale‑ups, COVID-19 pivots, enterprise expansion and multiple fundraising cycles.

Shadib was part of the first cohort of CPA Ontario’s Innovation Leadership Accelerator, and now co-leads its alumni program, helping to build connections among future leaders. He also served as Co-Chair of Venture Out, Canada's largest LGBTQ2A+ tech non-profit, and mentors directly at League. As an Emerging Leader, he is excited to continue to keep driving his company, community and country forward.
