Akif Siddiqui, FCPA, FCA

Akif Siddiqui believes in paying it forward. The CPA designation has helped him achieve success in Canada, and he has helped many other internationally trained accountants do the same. He began his career at PwC in Pakistan, before immigrating to Toronto and earning his Canadian designation in 2005. Since then, he has risen to become a leader in financial services practice at PwC Canada, guiding clients through complex reporting changes and playing a pivotal role in the growth of one of the country’s largest insurance audit practices.

Akif helped establish the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan Toronto Chapter and was instrumental in opening pathways for accountants trained in Pakistan to join the profession in Ontario. Through his leadership in PwC’s inclusion networks, charitable work, and by sharing his own story, Akif inspires newcomers to build careers with confidence. He says being named a Fellow motivates him to be an even stronger ambassador for the profession within Canada and beyond.
