Colin Shaw, FCPA, FCMA

Colin Shaw has spent his career raising the bar for audit quality and corporate governance in leadership roles across major organizations including Canadian Tire, Greater Toronto Airports Authority and CIBC. As Global Head of Internal Audit at OMERS Administration Corporation since 2018, his transformative work has strengthened stakeholder trust and engagement, improved operations and set new standards for excellence. He is also a member of faculty at The Directors College (DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University) and is a longstanding volunteer with the Institute of Internal Auditors, where he served as President of the Toronto Chapter and on the Canadian Advisory Committee.

Colin’s passion for community shines in his active allyship to the 2SLGBTQIA+ community and through volunteer roles with BGC Canada and Badge of Life Canada. He is particularly proud of co-founding Toronto City Youth Rugby, creating a space where hundreds of young athletes have improved their physical and mental health. For Colin, becoming a Fellow is not an endpoint but a challenge to keep creating positive outcomes for the profession and the community.
