Jennifer Maki, FCPA, FCA

Jennifer Maki fell in love with the mining industry a decade into her career, and rose to become the first woman, Canadian, and CPA to lead Vale Base Metals. In 2017, she was listed among The Globe and Mail's Power 50, and today, she brings her expertise to the boards of Pan American Silver, Franco-Nevada, Baytex Energy, Mitsui & Co. (Canada) and Invest Ontario, guiding strategy at the highest levels of business.

Jennifer is passionate about helping others push past doubts and seize opportunities. Known as someone who goes above and beyond to forge and maintain relationships over the long term, she has shaped careers and opened doors, particularly for women and fellow CPAs. Jennifer’s career is defined not only by what she has accomplished, but by how she has done it – by empowering others and leading with authenticity.
