Jennifer Mazzarolo, FCPA, FCA

The fuel to Jennifer Mazzarolo’s fire is motivating the next generation of CPAs. After spending her early career in pharmaceuticals, she entered a new industry – recruitment. In 2015, Jennifer took a bold step and founded her own firm, Maverick Consulting Group, where she focuses on cultivating and supporting CPA talent. As a small business owner, she blends her own expertise with talent strategy, providing recruitment, transition services and coaching.

Her greatest pride lies in mentoring, speaking at campus events and working with CPA Ontario to inspire young people to join the profession. She is President of the Hamilton CPA Ontario Association and gives back through community causes like Comfort Bears, a charity that provides support bears for children with serious and often terminal illness or those experiencing trauma.

A dedicated ambassador for the profession, Jennifer says that while technical skills are critical, new CPAs can set themselves apart by focusing on communication, critical thinking, integrity and resilience: attributes that will become even more important in the age of artificial intelligence.
