Mario Piccinin has spent his career unlocking potential in businesses, individuals and companies. Over more than three decades at Ernst & Young Canada, he guided life sciences, health care and biotech companies from early-stage start-ups into billion-dollar enterprises, shaping an industry that improves patient outcomes across Canada and beyond. He has proudly watched CPAs he mentored become leaders and companies he served rise to the world stage.

Mario has served on boards for organizations including Life Sciences Ontario and Toronto Innovation Acceleration Partners, where he continued helping health science technology start-ups grow. Retired in 2023, he now volunteers with CPA Ontario and sits on the board of Altruvest BoardMatch, the very same organization that matched him to his first-ever volunteer board position with Special Olympics Ontario back in 2004. Mario is a true example of using the CPA skillset to drive growth and create collective impact.
