Nura Taef, FCPA, FCA

Nura Taef is a thought leader and trailblazer in sustainability reporting who has been a featured speaker at a number of forums and industry events, including the United Nations Climate Conference held in Baku, Azerbaijan in 2024. At Deloitte, she founded the firm’s ESG Reporting Advisory practice, helping organizations weave climate and sustainability considerations into their financial strategies. Under her leadership, the team has grown from a local Toronto practice to a national one that collaborates with Deloitte firms around the world, providing services to major banks, pension plans and corporations.

Nura is a passionate advocate for the next generation of CPAs. She helped develop the CPA Ontario practical experience program for Deloitte’s Assurance practice and currently oversees over 30 participating students. She takes pride in helping young professionals understand sustainability’s intersection with the CPA skillset. For Nura, being named a Fellow is both an honour and a reminder of the responsibility to lead, serve and advance the profession.
