Peter Zissis has spent two decades shaping the financial backbone of one of Canada’s leading private equity firms. As CFO of Birch Hill Equity Partners since its inception in 2005, Peter built the firm’s finance function from the ground up, ensuring rigorous reporting, investor transparency and operational excellence. Known for his empowering leadership style, he has developed an industry-leading finance team by enabling people to do their best work.

Peter approaches community service with the same rigour he brings to the boardroom. Inspired by the care he received there after a serious accident a decade ago, he serves on the board of St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation and chairs the “Cycle 4 St. Joe’s” fundraiser, helping the team raise $3.8 million over nine years. He encourages young CPAs to take every opportunity to learn and to remember that the best opportunities come as the result of hard work and patience.
