Sebastian Distefano is recognized nationally and globally for his contributions to audit quality, governance and professional development. Starting as a staff accountant at KPMG Canada, he climbed the ranks to become the Canadian Managing Partner of Audit and Assurance, overseeing national teams and representing Canada on KPMG’s Global Audit Steering Group. He doubled the size of KPMG’s Toronto office, modernized workspaces and implemented innovative technologies.

Sebastian’s commitment to giving back is as strong as his dedication to the profession. He has served on boards and committees for St. Michael’s Hospital, United Way Greater Toronto and the Toronto Region Board of Trade. Using a principled and inclusive approach, Sebastian is passionate about mentorship and encourages future CPAs to keep learning and share their knowledge with the next generation. He always delivers on his commitment to excellence, making a difference where it matters most.
