Anthony (Tony) Mancinone, FCPA, FCA

Tony Mancinone’s pride in the profession is so strong he declared it on his license plate, which reads “TONY CPA.” He began his career in 1960 at Clarkson Gordon, which later merged with Ernst & Young, rising from student to partner while guiding businesses through many turbulent times. In 2021, Tony wrote to The Hon. Paul Martin, then Minister of Finance, to identify a legislative oversight in the Income Tax Act regarding the taxation of capital gains, which had gone unnoticed for decades. This led to an amendment retroactive to 1997, saving companies millions of dollars.
Tony is deeply committed to his local community. He helped raise funds for the first CT scanner in Essex County and was a leader with the Rotary Club of Windsor and Junior Achievement of Windsor-Essex County, among others. Tony embodies what it means to be an FCPA and is an example of how one person can make a difference in their profession, community and country.
